Dr. Amit Tyagi

The journey of Yoga for Amit starts in the northern part of India, Hastinapur, the ancient city of Kauravas and Pandavas according to Indian Mythological text, the Mahabharata. Located in Uttar Pradesh, India, he used to live there with his traditional Indian family for which practicing yoga was part of their daily routine life.

In his early days, he went on a trip to the Himalayas with his father and discovered that the Himalayas had been the birthplace of yoga and its practices, which had such an immense, power that it could help the Himalayan Yogis to survive in that harsh and cold environment with bare minimum clothing and resources.

With this knowledge he developed a great liking for the art and became more dedicated towards its learning. In 1997, when he was 13 years of Age, he started practicing Yoga with his Grandfather. He enrolled in Dev Sanskriti University, Haridwar in 2004 and here he delved deep into the physiological and psychological aspect of Yoga and got his Master's Degree in Applied Yoga.

After his Master’s he wanted to gain further knowledge on the subject and therefore started doing a PhD. in Yogic Science. In 2014 he was awarded Doctorate in Yoga Therapies from Singhania University. Dr. Amit has trained many people in group classes, during corporate workshops and given therapy to people suffering from back problems, neck problems, blood pressure, diabeties and many other chronic health issues using yoga and acupressure.

Currently he's associated with Yoga Ashram Dubai and spreading his knowledge to people training them in the best methods in yoga practice. He has a his own style of teaching and people like his unique approach in his classes. He uses stretching, dynamic flow, breathing techniques, reflexology and many more styles of yoga.
